Angela Jo Colella has spent more than forty years encouraging, mentoring, and empowering women of all ages. She has been instrumental in the success of numerous women, supporting them as they faced their fears, grew in confidence, and learned to reach their full potential.

Angela Jo wondered what would have happened to those women if earlier support could have helped them realize their potential sooner. What if they had encouragement when they were pre-teens? Would they have soared earlier?

She understands every generation faces obstacles, but she sees increasing pressure on young girls. Technology accelerates life, but when young people already struggle with self-esteem, societal comparisons intensify, and pressure increases.

That’s why BRAVE Girl was born.

B.R.A.V.E. stands for: Bold. Resilient. Authentic. Victorious. Excellent. Angela Jo aims to help girls discover their true selves by focusing on confidence, character, faith, and purpose, away from comparison and perfectionism. She has raised three sons and, now that they are grown, has hosted a high school exchange student from France for a year, gaining insight into a student’s world amid societal pressures.

Inspiration comes from the least likely places.

Angela Jo wants to be the change she prays to see. So, she is not standing by, complaining that “something should be done”; she is doing something about it.

Change in the world does not need to be performed on platforms; it happens, one human at a time, one connection at a time, and it is relational. She is starting from where her passion lies, from her heart.
